Vietnam PM Okays US$210-Mln Expressway Project in Mekong Delta

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved an expressway project worth US$210 million in the Mekong Delta region.
 
The project named “Connecting the center of Mekong Delta region” is designed to build a road, which runs from Dong Thap to Can Tho and be linked to a series of regional highways.
 
The 40-kilometer route, part of Mekong Delta’s expressway development plan, will be invested by the My Thuan Management Board.
 
The project will also construct two big bridges of Cao Lanh and Vam Cong. According to the newspaper, the project will be put out to tender in 2010 for the construction. (Pioneer)
