From March 9 to 13, 2009, a delegation consisting of 60 companies from Belgium, Denmark, Greece and Spain paid a working visit to Vietnam. The visitors dropped in on international institutions in Hanoi like the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the European Union and the United Nations. This is a chance for visiting companies to understand more about development strategies and preference policies and seek business cooperation from these international institutions-funded projects in Vietnam. The visitors also met with Vietnamese ministries and partners responsible for undertaking these projects.
This tour also helps tighten commercial relations between European and Vietnamese enterprises. After the Hanoi visit, the delegation came to Ho Chi Minh City, the largest economic and commercial hub in Vietnam. There will be many cooperation forms like import, shipping, logistics, subcontracting, joint venture, investment and other certifications.
The business delegation also met all international institutions in Hanoi, Vietnamese ministries and partners responsible for carrying out projects in Vietnam, business associations, chambers of commerce, trade and investment promotion centres, and private companies.
