Delta Air Lines Opens Office in Vietnam

On April 10, 2009, Delta Air Lines announced it has established an office in Vietnam in preparation for the launch of its new daily nonstop service between Ho Chi Minh City and Tokyo, Japan.
 
The office is located in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City, the premier business center of  Vietnam, and will house reservations, the city ticket (CTO) and sales. 
 
“Establishing an office in Vietnam demonstrates Delta’s ongoing commitment to the Asia market,and it will enable us to better provide first-hand service to originating passengers connecting through Tokyo to the U.S.,” said Brian Swain, Delta Air Lines’ managing director in Asia.
 
Effective June 1, 2009, Delta will begin daily nonstop service between Ho Chi Minh City and its hub at Tokyo, Japan, where passengers will be able to make easy connections to and from nine U.S. gateways, using a 160-seat Boeing 757-200 with 16 seats in World Business Class and 144 seats in Economy.
