Ha Tien 2 Kicks off 3-TlnCement Production Line in South Vietnam

Ha Tien Cement No. 2 Co. (HT2) on April 10 started construction of Ha Tien 2.2 cement production line in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang.

 

The project located in Kien Luong district has a total investment of VND3.04 trillion (US$179.88 million), including VND382.54 billion sourced from the concentrated investment fund of the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem) and the investment development fund of HT2, and VND2.56 trillion from bank loans and the state’s preferential credit.

 

Once fully operated in late 2010, the production line will be capable of producing 1.26 million tons of clinker and 600,000 tons of cement per year, said Tran Duy Son, Director of the company. (Vietnam Economic Times)
