Vietnam Lists 19 Golden Stocks of 2009
A group of financial analysts compiled a list of 19 companies in the Vietnamese stock market as golden stocks.
The selection depends on three basic criteria: growth capacity, financial indicators and market indices, said Vu Thuong, director of the Golden Stocks project.
It aims to provide investors with reliable information based on independent and detailed analysis of earnings performance, growth potential, share price fluctuations, and price on earnings ratio of listed firms.
Among the 19 golden stocks, two are listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange, including Asia Commercial Joint Stock Bank (ACB) and Tien Phong Plastic Co. (NTP).
The remaining 17 stocks listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange include DHG, DPM, FPT, GMD, BMP, CII, NTL, PAC, PVD, REE, SJS, SSI, STB, TDH, VNM, DPR and VSH.
Vietnam now has the listings of 169 stocks on the HCM City bourse and 183 stocks on Hanoi bourse. (Vietnam Economic Times, VNA)
