Vietnam PM Approves VND900B for IT Human Resources Development
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the general plan on developing IT manpower by 2015 with vision to 2020 with total investment of VND900 billion (US$53.1 million).
With the plan, Vietnam targets 30 per cent of IT, electronics and telecom graduates are capable to join the international labor market.
The program will help provide all learners at vocational training centers with IT knowledge and applications, and 100 per cent of lower secondary students and 80 per cent of primary pupils with training on informatics.
Vietnam will be one of the leading ICT countries in Southeast Asia in the near future. The country expects that the ICT industry will bring in US$6 billion-US$7 billion in revenue by 2010. (Youth)
