Lafarge Looks toward Safe Activities
Lafarge Boral Gypsum Vietnam, (LBGV), which is known for trademark name of LaGyp, has recently opened a driver training course for its customers. The course took place at Honda Vietnam’s factory in northern Vinh Phuc province. The training contents were prepared by Honda Vietnam to provide necessary knowledge and skills to operate their motorcycles safely.
“Driving safely” is one of three activities of the programme “Action safely, look to success” of LaGyp, which lasts from June to December 2009, to raise safety awareness for its customers, workers and the community. Following training courses will be held in Ho Chi Minh City on June 17 and 18, 2009. Trainees will be granted Honda’s safety driving licences.
Mr. Peter Edwards, General Manager of LBGV, said one of the top concerns of Lafarge Boral Gypsum in Vietnam as well as in the world is the safety, a crucial factor for sustainable development.
Lafarge Group is involved in cement, gypsum, concrete, and additive production. LBGV is the first gypsum board producer in Vietnam. Its factory is located at Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park, Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City. The LaGyp trademark of LBGV replaced Elephant and Boral trade names, which belonged to imported categories.
