Vinacomin to Export 400,000 Tons of Low-quality Coal in Q2
The state-owned Vietnam National Coal-Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin) is expected to export a total of 400,000 tons of low-quality coal via the via the Van Gia border gate in Mong Cai city of northern Quang Ninh province in the second quarter this year.
The provincial authorities of Quang Ninh and Vinacomin are joining hands to strictly control exports of low-quality coal via the border gate so as to prevent trafficking.
Vinacomin is allowed to export a maximal three million tons of low-quality coal via the border gate per year.
Exported low-quality coal should have a minimal ash proportion of 39.5 per cent, the ministry said.
This year, Vinacomin has targeted to produce 40 million tons of coal, including 20.5 million tons for exports and 19.5 million tons for domestic sales. (News)
