HCMC Business Association Holds 5th Term Convention
The Ho Chi Minh City Business Association has recently organised its convention for the fifth term (2009-2014) and received the third-class Labour Medal granted by the State of Vietnam.
The association has 30 member institutions with 5,000 members. In the past term, it promoted its roles by popularising policymaking activities, improving business environment and protecting legitimate rights and interest of enterprises. It assisted its members with trade promotion activities, valuable market information and trademark popularisation. At the same time, the association also organised training programmes to provide more information and knowledge for enterprises in the integration process. The association also raised nearly VND40 billion for social charity activities.
In the next term, the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association will attract 10 more institutions and 2,000 new members and improve its operating activities t o bring in highest benefits for enterprises.
Mr Nguyen Duc Dien, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Business Association, said the association should be the bridge to link businesses and authorities to solve difficulties for businesses.
