EU to Remove Anti-dumping Duty on Vietnam's Steel Fasteners
The European Commission (EC) plans to abolish anti-dumping taxes on Vietnam-originated stainless steel fasteners exported to the EU market by Taiwan-wholly invested Header Plan Ltd., Co. in Vietnam, the Ministry of Industry and Trade Ministry said on its website, citing the EC’s sources.
The EC made this decision after it conducted a partial interim review on stainless steel fasteners imported from Vietnam and found that Header Plan did not dump these products in the EU market, said the website.
The EC had imposed anti-dumping taxes of 7.7 per cent on these exports from Vietnam, including that of Header Plan from Nov 19, 2005.
The commission will continue to levy anti-dumping taxes on these products exported by other Vietnamese firms and outline a specific supervision mechanism on exports of Header Plan, noted the website. (Trade & Industry)
