Vietnam President Welcomes Newly Appointed Ambassadors

Five newly appointed ambassadors from Argentina, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Spain and Austria presented their credentials to President Nguyen Minh Triet on August 18 in Hanoi.
 
The ambassadors were Alberto Jaime Kaminker of Argentina, Pisanu Chanvitan of Thailand, Saleh Bin Ahmed Hamid Sarhan of Saudi Arabia, Fernando Curcio Ruigomez of Spain and Georg Heindl of Austria.
 
During separate receptions given to the five diplomats, President Triet focused discussions on bilateral ties and the potential for cooperation between Vietnam and the five countries in various fields, particularly economics, trade, and investment.
 
The five ambassadors all affirmed that they would do their best to fulfill their tasks and contribute to the expanding friendship and cooperation between their countries and Vietnam. (VNA)
