Int’l Travel Expo 2009 to Open in HCM City

The 5th Vietnam International Travel Expo (ITE 2009) is set to take place from October 1 - 3, 2009 at the Phu Tho Exhibition Centre, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City.

This annual nation-level expo is held by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and IIR Exhibitions Pte Ltd.

The trade fair, themed “Cambodia - Laos - Vietnam: Three countries, one destination”, will introduce tourism potentialities, promote trading activities and seek partners to develop tourism in the three countries and in the world.

ITE gathers leading specialists in tourism, restaurant, hotel, resort, spa, healthcare and others. This is expected to bring in good business opportunities for enterprises.

The event is hoped to attract 180 sellers from 13 countries in the world, 200 buyers and 150 guests from 20 countries in the world. It is expected to attract more than 15,000 visitors and investment planners from Europ, America and Asia.

In addition to main activities, the trade fair is incorporated with other events such as international tourism investment promotion conference, meeting for sellers and buyers, the Miss Earth 2008 meeting, friendship golf tournament in Long Thanh golf course for buyers and sellers, and art performances from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, the Philippines and Malaysia.
