Introducing Vietnamese Agro Products in Dubai and Egypt

The Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development will host an event to introduce Vietnamese agricultural products in Dubai, UAE and Cairo, Egypt in October 2009 in a bid to boost export of Vietnamese agricultural, aquatic and forest products to the Middle East.

 

The ministry will organise seminars to introduce Vietnamese agricultural and aquatic products on October 13 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and on October 16 in Cairo, Egypt. The seminars will be the chance to introduce and inform target customers, authorities and the media in Egypt of Vietnamese aquatic products in general and tra catfish in particular. The seminars are an attempt to regain the trust of Egyptian consumers in Vietnamese aquatic products, especially tra catfish, after the media ran wrong information at the start of the year.

 

The ministry will also work with agricultural and fishery authorities like the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the food quarantine and hygiene authorities, the chambers of commerce in UAE and Egypt.

 

It will lead Vietnamese visitors to survey wholesale markets as well as processing facilities in both nations.

 

This programme is expected to last from October 10 to 18. Vietnamese enterprises will have the opportunity to seek business with potential business partners in the two countries.
