Vietnam Welcomes Kuwaiti Investors: President
President Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized Vietnam always attaches a special importance to promoting relationships with Kuwait and welcomes Kuwaiti enterprises to invest in the country in fields of oil and gas, infrastructures, transport and realty.
The Vietnamese president was receiving Kuwait’s Minister of Oil and Communication cum chairman of the state-run Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), Sheikh Ahmad Abdulla Al-Ahmad AlSabah in Hanoi on September 21.
The visiting guest briefed President Triet of his trip’s purpose which will focus on the bilateral cooperation in the oil and gas industry.
The Kuwaiti minister said that his country is considering the granting of scholarships for Vietnamese students.
The Kuwaiti delegation arrived in Vietnam September 20 and will stay till September 25.
Vietnam and Kuwait set up diplomatic ties on January 1976.
Two-way trade hit $116 million last year. (People’s Army)
