Vietnam Port Handles 17,000 TEU in Sept
Tan Cang-Cai Mep Deepwater Port in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau handled 17,000 TEU of cargoes (around 340,000 feet) in September.
In July, the port served just 13,000 TEU of container cargoes.
The port, invested by Tan Can Sai Gon Company, officially became operation in June.
The port, which has a total investment of VND1.2 trillion, can receive 80,000-DWT ships. (Youth)
