Manulife Vietnam Donates VND50M to Women Union of Hai Phong city
Responding charity program “Compassionate Shelter” launched by Vietnam Women’s Union, Manulife Vietnam recently donated VND50 million to Women’s Union of Hai Phong city.
This donation will be used to build five compassionate houses for five underprivileged members of Hai Phong Women’s Union in five poor districts of Hai Phong city.
“To Manulife, being a good corporate citizen is part of our corporate culture. Since its inception in 1999, Manulife Vietnam has been a major contributor to many charitable and social programs with the aim of improving the quality of peoples’ lives in the communities where it does business,” said David Wong, CEO & General Director of Manulife Vietnam, at the donation ceremony.
Manulife Vietnam has recently won a prestigious accolade “Top Company caring for the community” awarded by Ministry of Trade and Industry and Vietnam Press Association to recognize its ongoing commitment and outstanding contribution to the local community over a decade.
