Vinashin Affiliate Launches 53,000 DWT Ship in Northern City
Ha Long Shipbuilding Company, an affiliate of Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin), launched a 53,000 DWT cargo ship in northern city of Ha Long on October 10.
The ship named 7 United Jalua is 190 meters long, 32.26 meters wide and 17.5 meters high and can travel at 14 nautical miles per hour.
This is the 8th freighter of the same kind that Ha Long shipyard had built for the U.K.’s Graig.
To date, the shipbuilder has handed over four ships among the eight for U.K’s partner. (Labor)
