Standard Chartered, EVN Finance Cooperate in Finance Sector
Standard Chartered Bank and EVN Finance Joint Stock Company will cooperate in fields of finance, the EVN Finance said.
Hoang Van Ninh, general director of EVN Finance and Ashok Sud, general director of Standard Chartered Bank in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the cooperation in London on Oct 19.
Under the MoU, two parties committed to cooperate in project funding, interest rate risk management in Vietnam and other countries.
Standard Chartered and EVN Finance will trade foreign currencies on the inter-bank market and carry out payment services at fixed forex rates as for corporate bonds, government bonds and local governance bonds as well as provide loans.
The British lender will also supply consultancy services on derivative products to minimize the risks for EVN Finance’s projects and their customers as well as the chain of cash managing products. (evnfc.vn)
