Vietnam's Business Confidence Index Ups Six Places in Q3: WVB FISL
Vietnam’s business confidence index (BCI) in the third quarter this year jumped six steps compared to the second quarter, which signals the domestic economic recovery, a recent survey indicated.
The survey, conducted jointly by the Vietnam World Vest Base Financial Intelligence Services (WVB FISL), the PetroVietnam Finance Investment and Consultancy Company (PVFC Invest) interviewed 143 companies in 11 key industries from Sept.15 to early Oct.
The survey showed that up to 71% of companies interviewed expect to post higher business results over the next 12 months while 29% hope their profits keep unchanged.
Fifty four percent of them said the domestic economy has been improving while 57% of them said they will employ more workers in the next 12 months, it added.
Up to 40% of the participants hailed the government’s first stimulus package to spur the economic recovery, saying it effective. (Dan Tri)
