Vietnam’s export of woodwork products to Germany will decrease 5.29% in 2009 due to bad impacts of the global economic downturn, the Information Center for Agriculture and Rural Development (Agroinfo) forecast.

In the first eight months of 2009, Germany imported US$66 million worth of woodwork from Vietnam, down 6.49% from a year earlier.

Its woodwork exports to the European country are forecast to fall 1.23% next year, down from 2009, the center said.
