Vietnam Firm to Build US$250M Tramway in HCM City Late Year
BOT Phu My Bridge JSC will build a tramway at a total investment of US$250 million in Ho Chi Minh City late this year.
The 12.5-kilometer long tramway will start from Thu Thiem ferryboat, runs along East-Western Avenue and districts of 1,5,6 and 11 and ends at Mien Tay station.
Once operational in 2011, it is expected to transport 300 passengers per train for every between 3 and 5 minutes.
This is the first among the three tramways that is planned for the city through 2020. (Young People)
