Vietnam to Build 39 Power Plants in Mekong Delta through 2010
Vietnam is pursuing a strategy to build 39 power plants with a combined capacity of 13,550 MW through next year.
Of the total, four hydropower plants will be built on Dong Nai River while eight others will use gas pumped from oilfields in Southeast and Southwest regions.
Electricity generated from the plants will be transmitted via the 152.72km-long 500-kV Nha Be-O Mon line to supply for households in Mekong Delta provinces. (
