Vietnam Seeks PPP Investment for 10 Infrastructure Projects

The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport has issued a list of 10 infrastructure projects to call for both domestic and foreign investment under the form of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) form.
 
The projects include the expressways of Dau Giay-Phan Thiet, Ninh Binh-Thanh Hoa, Da Nang-Quang Ngai, My Thuan-Can Tho, Noi Bai-Ha Long, Ha Long-Mong Cai, Dau Giay-Da Lat and Ben Luc-Long Thanh.
 
The others are Haiphong International Port and Ho Chi Minh City-Can Tho high-speed railway.
 
Deputy Minister of Transport Ngo Duc Thinh said the Dau Giay-Phan Thiet and Ninh Binh-Thanh Hoa expressways will be the first pilot projects to be implemented under the PPP model.
 
The ministry is also seeking the World Bank’s financial support for the implementation of these two projects. (VNA)
