PVI Services: More Services, More Value

PVI Invest Joint Stock Company (PVI Invest), an affiliate of PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corp (PVI), has launched PVI Services Co., Ltd and inaugurated an auto rescue, maintenance and repairing service centre at Km 12, Highway 1A, Tu Hiep commune, Thanh Tri district, Hanoi. Mr Tran Anh Tuan, Director of Human and Vehicle Insurance Management Department, PetroVietnam Insurance, said: PVI Services help increase service value for PVI-insured customers in particular and non-PVI customers in general.
 
Assigned with the main function of investment by its parent company, PVI, why did PVI Invest decide to invest in a totally new field of automobile repair, maintenance and rescue services?
With the aim of becoming a top insurer and reinsurer in the region and a world-class financial and insurance group in a farther horizon, in recent years, in addition to serving large industrial customers inside and outside the oil industry, PVI started building and developing community-oriented retail systems like motor insurance. Currently, PVI is one of four largest vehicle insurers in Vietnam. So, the establishment of PVI Services is aimed at two targets. Firstly, the company will provide best after-sales service for customers purchasing motor insurance policies. Secondly, the PVI Services will provide services to other customers on the market. According to our survey data, the Vietnamese auto market has a very high growth rate, about 30 percent annually; thus, the demand for maintenance and repair will surely increase. We also plan to coordinate with other insurers like Bao Viet, Bao Minh and PJICO to serve their customers. The most important thing we must do is to strive for their stronger confidence in our services quality.
 
Is there any difference in service quality provided to PVI insured customers and non-PVI insured customers?
At present, PVI is one of insurers with self-contained customer service process. As I have said above, all customers are equally treated at PVI Services. We have built a consistent process to ensure that all vehicles are checked within 24 hours and this is applied to all cases.
 
Psychologically, customers always want to have their vehicles repaired by manufacturers, in addition to the presence of many modern garages. Are they major obstacles for your company’s business?
We have anticipated challenges but I totally believe in our ability to complete with so-called best garages in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, because we have focused on synchronous investments in infrastructure, equipment, machine and personnel from our inception. Our first auto repair, maintenance and rescue centre has a space of over 3,000 square metres, divided into two workshops and powered by seven lifters, two painting and drying chambers furnished by modern equipment and staffed by skilled technicians and supervisors. We have invited best experts across the country to work for our company. They used to work as team leaders at top-tier carmakers like Toyota and Ford. Besides, our consultants are also very professional and richly experienced in this field.
 
With highly professional, experienced and enthusiastic workforce and modern equipment, I believe customers will be completely satisfied with our service quality.
 
As known, holders of PVI vehicle insurances are living across Vietnam. So, does PVI Service plan to expand operations to serve its insured customers better?
This is our first centre. In the near future, we will open more similar centres in other provinces and cities. We will open centres in all districts in big cities with a thick density of motorised vehicles like Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong and Da Nang to provide best services for our customers. PVI Services is committed to double its continuous effort to become a top-tier supplier of automobile repair and maintenance services in Vietnam and bring best services to customers at a shortest time.
