The Airbus Corporate Foundation works in partnership with Non Governmental Organisations regularly using Airbus aircraft to provide aid to countries and communities which have been affected by natural disasters or are in need.

3.8 tonnes of medical equipment for dialysis, including 12 generators, 2 video screens, catheters, and many appliances and spares donated by the Toulouse, France based hospital Purpan, arrived in Hanoi aboard a new Vietnam Airlines A321. This aircraft is the 17th A321 delivered to Vietnam Airlines, from a total order of 41 of this aircraft type. The equipment will be transferred to Hanoi Hospital of Nephrology and Dialysis where it will be used to treat patients suffering from chronic kidney failure.

In recent years, Airbus has built up a global network of airlines and relief organisations to support international humanitarian help. Ferry flights of new aircraft have been used on numerous occasions to transport goods all over the world.
