Viet Uc Joint Stock Company: A New Plane

As a young business with internal strength and rapid response ability to opportunities, Viet Uc Joint Stock Company is looking to become a multi-sector business group.

Set up in 2001 with small start-up capital and a few staff, the company was able to manage small, simple projects. But with continued efforts, burning enthusiasm and growing working experience, Viet Uc has gradually grown. To date, the financial sources and working capability of the company have been elevated to a new height. The firm has undertaken many important, high-value construction projects throughout the country, including Duong Vang Road (Nam Dinh province), Thuy Nguyen (Haiphong) - Kinh Mon (Hai Duong) interprovincial road and Road 403 Kien Thuy (Haiphong). Construction alone brought in nearly VND100 billion (US$5.4 million) for the company in 2009.

 

In addition to consolidating and upgrading the construction field, in 2008, Viet Uc Joint Stock Company launched new business lines such as petroleum trading, hotel business, office leasing, aquaculture, precast concrete production, and steel-core plastic windows bearing Viet Uc Window trademark. The company is also building Viet Uc transportation and construction vocational training school on an area of 15 ha in Phu Ly City, Ha Nam province.

 

With a workforce of more than 300 employees, over half holding university degrees or higher, and modern and synchronous equipment, Viet Uc Joint Stock Company is ready for new phases of development.

 

In addition to strengthening construction capacity, Viet Uc also attaches much importance to governance issues. The company has successfully applied ISO 2001 management standards. But, facing new development requirements, Viet Uc needs to continue with further improvements.

 

Mr Dao Hung Tien, President and General Director of Viet Uc Joint Stock Company, said: The company recruited and trained core staff to prepare for new phases of development. He said most university graduates did not want to return to their home cities to work, but preferred to stay in larger cities, leading to a shortage of high-quality human resources.
