Vietnam Firm Installs Stator at Turbine 1 of Su Pan 2 Hydropower Plant
Song Da Corp. Hydropower Holding Company installed a 29.5-ton stator at turbine 1 of Su Pan 2 hydropower in Vietnam’s northern province of Lao Cai on October 5.
The corporation targets to put into operation the turbine by the year-end, the Vietnam News Agency said Wednesday.
The three-turbine plant is located in Su Pan and Ban Ho communes in Sa Pa district and costs nearly VND900 billion ($46.153 million).
The plant is expected to supply 147 million kWh of power a year to the national electricity grid.
The provincial authority has to date granted investment licenses to 46 investors to build 84 hydropower plants with a combined capacity of 961 MW and total investment of VND20 trillion ($1.05 billion). (Vietnam &World Economy)
