Dak Ne Hydropower Plant Inaugurated

The Dak Ne hydropower plant was inaugurated on September 18, 21 and was about to be operational. The VND230 billion facility, kicked off in February 2007, is located in Da To Lung commune, Kon Ray district, Kon Tum province.

 

This is the first hydropower plant in the Central Highlands region to register to build under a clean development mechanism (CDM) project. The 8.1 Mw plant, which will produce 37.96 million kWh a year, will ease power shortages in the country in general and the province in particular.

 

ABBANK financed VND180 billion for the project, or 70 % of the total investment capital.
