CMC Soft General Director Hoang Ngoc Hung offered this definition at an interview with ViB Forum on software brand building. Hung said, "To successfully build a corporate brand, we must put quality and prestige on top. The company needs to have perseverance, innovative thinking and full determination to contribute to the development of the Vietnam’s software industry.”
 
After 15 years of operation, CMC Soft has become the fastest-growing software company in Vietnam. Could you talk about this stunning achievement?
During 15 years of operation, CMC Soft has asserted its prestige by its own software products. To date, we are very proud that our packaged software has substantiated our name and established a strong foothold on the market. Our products are equal or even better than foreign solutions, because we better understand the demands and professions of our customers. In 2010, we continue to develop document and workflow management software eDocman into eDocman Plus, featuring enhanced collaboration, content sharing, process management and knowledge management. This solution has proven its effectiveness with its wide-scale deployment. Intelligent University Solution (IU), iLib Integration Electronics Library Solution, CMC e-portal and many other package software products were developed by CMC Soft.
 
Apart from developing software, CMC Soft also exploits a variety of other services based on the technological platforms of large global corporations and on actual demand from customers in the country.
 
CMC Soft has reportedly won many orders from overseas. What are your major export markets?
In 2006, CMC Soft built the Global Software Development Centre (GSDC) to undertake big export contracts. To date, we are serving customers in Japan, the United States, Europe and Australia. We are fully aware that to be successful in foreign markets, domestic resources are insufficient. Hence, we set up CMC Blue France Joint Venture Company and Thong Nhat Joint Venture Company in France and Japan in 2009.
 
Also in that year, we cooperated with the world-leading IT group Ciber to set up Ciber - CMC Joint venture Company specialising in providing SAP ERP services for international and domestic markets. Understanding that foreign customers are very hard to please, CMC Soft has focused on building up human resources, techniques and project management schedules in accordance with international standards. Particularly, we are applying the ISO 27001 information security certificate, the ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard, and CMMi. We know that only by offering the best services can Vietnam’s software companies find a foothold in the world market.
 
What is CMC Soft’s brand development strategy?
As a business leader, I think the most important factors in success are perseverance, innovative thinking and full determination to contribute to the development of the Vietnamese software industry. When we take on any software project, we always meet the technical requirements and progress, no matter what difficulty we may confront. For CMC Soft, to successfully build the brand, we must put product quality and prestige above everything.
