Vietnam’s exports are predicted to increase 10% from a year earlier to $78 billion in 2011, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Nguyen Thanh Bien said.

The country’s export staples will continue increasing next year driven by rising prices of commodities in the world market, Bien said at a meeting on reviewing the country’s Jan-Nov trade activities held on Nov 29.

The Southeast Asian nation is estimated to earn $70.8 billion in 2010 with nearly 20 major exports reporting values of over $1 billion each. (Urban Economy)
