MoIT Proposes Launching World Consumer Rights Day

In response to the World Consumer Rights Day, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)has recently sent the Dispatch 12976/BCT-QLCT dated December 24, 2010 to request provincial and municipal People's Committees to instruct their Department of Industry and Trade and relevant bodies to organise the Consumer Rights Day so as to promote consumer protection throughout the nation.
 
The day is aimed to make people know their rights and companies understand their obligations in consumer protection. The event will also looks into the Party and State policies on consumer protection.
 
Many different slogans about consumer protection will be used during the event: Consumer protection is the general responsibility of the society; consumer protection is self-protection of enterprises; consumers, be self-protected; read before use; etc.
