Electronic Shipping Entry/Exit to Be Piloted from June 28
On May 13, 2011, the Ministry of Finance issued the Circular 64/2011/TT-BTC to provide guidance on the implementation of the Prime Minister’s 19/2011/QD-TTg dated March 23, 2011 on piloting electronics clearance for entry and exit of seagoing ships.
Accordingly, shipping firms/agents are responsible for creating, sending and receiving electronic information. In case many shipping firms/agents jointly operate one ship, all will have to create, send and receive electronic information
In case shipping firms/agents do not have enough detailed information about bills of lading like detailed descriptions of goods, shippers, consignees and delivery companies, forwarding companies that issue the bills of lading shall create and send electronic information relating to the bill of lading to the electronic information portal managed by the General Department of Customs.
