Hung Thinh Co., Ltd: Bold for Success

Lang Son based- Hung Thinh Co., Ltd is the local largest ceramic company. Undergoing sustainable development, the brand name of Hung Thinh has been present in almost all cities and provinces nationwide and is taking step to reach overseas markets. The company is being managed by Ms Luong Thu Huong, an ambitious and talented director.

 

In recent years, despite heaps of obstacles due to high increases in prices of input materials, Hung Thinh Limited Company has been able to maintain its production and business effectively with its active approach. Officially operating since 2005, the company so far has had 10 production workshops. Over one million of products are churned out monthly. Hung Thinh currently generates over 350 jobs with an average income of VND 2.2 million per person per month.

 

However, in order to have above fruitful results, Hung Thinh overcame quite a few difficulties. Director Huong shares that the company had to directly buy the total premise of 18,000 sq. metres from the residents and then made an investment of VND18 billion into construction of office, workshops and import of modern machines, equipment, technologies for production from China. Main products of Hung Thinh are household ceramic products, including all types of bowls, plates, cups and teapots, etc. 

 

Thanks to its righteous investment orientation and production capability, quality of products gets improved and products are able to meet demand and satisfy customers’ taste as well as get exported to cities and provinces nationwide, as well as to Laos, Cambodia and Taiwan. With the aim of expanding production and improving product quality, Hung Thinh has invested over VND3 billion in its facilities which include 400 sq. metres of warehouse, purchase of machines, product drying line and oil-fired power generator. After six years of operation, Hung Thinh Company has gained considerate achievements in its production and business. All products made by the company are sold well. In the first four months of 2011 only, Hung Thinh churned out more than 4 million ceramic products of all types, earning roughly VND11 billion; and payment to state budget of VND 248 million.

 

In addition to the achievement, Hung Thinh is making every endeavour to overcome obstacles such as lack of fund for production expansion and instable power supply for production. Furthermore, the company’s products are subject to tough competition from those of domestic manufacturers and imported ones from China.

 

Given mentioned above difficulties, the management board of Hung Thinh has actively changed production and business methods, especially tried to stabilize prices so as to keep its product competitive on the market, upgrade production technology, improve quality, penetrate into new markets and arrange working shifts appropriately, etc. What Hung Thinh has contributed is not as significant as other large companies; however, it has made an enthusiastic contribution to local socio-economic development, helping raise industrial production value in Cao Loc district’s economic structure and generate many jobs for local people. With determination, activeness and flexibility of the leaders, it is believed that Hung Thinh Limited Company will develop more and more, becoming a leading company in producing ceramic products in Lang Son province.
