Strategic Step of Bonfiglioli

Bonfiglioli Riduttori Group is an leading global Italian company with production plants and branches in 16 countries, global workforce of more than 3,100 employees and turnover in excess of 600 million. The group has a history of more than 50 years of meeting the demands of the mechanical engineering industry. Bonfiglioli has specialized in designing, manufacturing and distributing a complete range of gear motors, drive systems, planetary gearboxes and electronic devices (mecha-tronics approach) to satisfy the most demanding needs for industrial processes, for automation, for mobile equipment and renewable energy applications.
Bonfiglioli Vietnam Ltd (BVN) was established in January 2008, headquartered in My Phuoc IP, Binh Duong Province, with a total investment around US$16 million. In the beginning BVN started with 80 employees, but due to the evolution and growth of its importance for the Bonfiglioli group, it now can count on more than 300 employees with 60 indirect people working at the office. BVN can also reckon on dedicated sales offices based in Ho Chi Minh City.
 
The state-of-art factory equipped with modern technology and nearly full mechanization, has an area of 18,000 sq. metres, with annexed 1,600 sq. metre office and 1,000 sq. metre service building.
 
This Bonfiglioli plant manufactures electric motors to be exported around the world. In order to fulfil domestic and international demand, a medium term expansion plan has already been set for gearboxes and frequency inverters. In fact, according to Bonfiglioli expectation and strategy, production will increase steadily to meet local and international export demand.

The presence of Bonfiglioli in Vietnam is considered a strategic step of the group in Asia. As mentioned by the Italian Ambassador to Vietnam, the investment of Bonfiglioli in Vietnam is a typical example for other Italian companies to follow. In the coming time, BVN is expected to expand its production activities.
