National Standards for Key Products

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung recently approved the Project on “Building and applying technical standards and norms” - a component of the Programme for "Improving productivity and quality of products and goods of Vietnamese enterprises towards 2020.” Accordingly, all possibly unsafe products are managed by national technical standards from 2011 to 2015. As many as 5,000 enterprises will be guided to apply Vietnamese standards.

 

In 2016-2020, all quality testing labs for staple products will reach international level. Product technical standards and quality management at academies will also be taken into consideration for development.

 

To achieve the above objectives, the project will implement three major tasks: Building technical standards and norms; assessing compliance and conformity of technical standards and norms, and boosting training and international cooperation.
