Gold Star Award Recognising Successful Firms
The Gold Star Award Council 2004 has awarded 155 trademarks and products (81 trademarks and 74 products) of 128 enterprises from 20 industries (48 SOEs, 56 non-State enterprises and 24 joint stock companies). The enterprises have created nearly 93,000 jobs and VND41,018 billion (US$2.6 billion) in turnover.
Starting in late June 2004, the award was warmly welcomed by enterprises of all economic sectors. After two months, 778 trademarks and products of 20 industries from 52 provinces and cities were nominated for the award.
The award ceremony will be held at the Hanoi Opera House on September 1, 2004. On the same date, the Association of Young Vietnamese Entrepreneurs will also organise the Vietnam Economic Integration Fair 2004 and the Pride Trademarks Parade to celebrate the 59th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day (September 2) to introduce awarded trademarks and products in 2003 and 2004.
The award honours Vietnamese trademarks and products with a competitive edge over other countries. The Vietnam Youth Union and the Association of Young Entrepreneurs have been designated by the Prime Minister to organise the award ceremony.
