Free Health Checks for Over 2,000 Poor People
The Korea Open Social Doctor Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Poor Patient Sponsorship Society carried out a free health check for poor people in Ho Chi Minh City from February 29 to March 3, 2012. The programme was launched at District 4 Cultural Centre and Ngoc Linh Hospital.
More than 2,000 poor people and students in the city were provided free medical checks and medicines. The programme was joined by famous South Korean doctors specialised in internal medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, anaesthesiology, paediatrics, family medicine, dentistry, and oriental medicine. This event also drew volunteers from the Korea Open Social Doctor Association, the Ho Chi Minh City Poor Patient Sponsorship Society, Lotte Mart Company and Ngoc Linh Hospital.
Coupled with this charity event, Lotte Mart Company collaborated with Lotte Dat Viet Homeshopping presented 2,000 gifts worth over VND200 million to poor patients on the occasion home shopping channel was aired on HTVC and VCTV14 TV channels.
