South Korea to Help Vietnam Develop Nuclear Energy
On March 6, the South Korean Embassy in Hanoi hosted a press conference to inform preparations for the Nuclear Security Summit 2012 which is set to take place in Seoul, South Korea on March 26-27, 2012.
Some 58 senior officials from 53 countries and four international organisations are expected to attend the second summit.
The South Korean government is putting the final touch to preparations for the biggest ever international event. It aimed at keeping the world safe and peaceful, as well as free from nuclear terrorism.
South Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Ha Chan Ho said: On the sideline of the summit, Vietnam and South Korea will have further discussions for the construction of a nuclear power plant in Vietnam, hoping to reach a final conclusion as soon as possible. This is also part of bilateral talks between high officials of the two countries on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic ties.
