The two FMs informed each other about recent developments in respective countries and reviewed bilateral cooperation in economics and trade as well as coordination at multilateral forums, especially ASEAN.

FM Minh spoke highly of Singapore as one of Vietnam’s top investor and trade partner. He hoped that Singapore would expand long-term investment in Vietnam in the future.

Both sides applauded effectiveness of six cooperative fields in the Singapore-Vietnam Connectivity Framework Agreement.

Besides, both sides also discussed measures to enhance cooperation in education and training, agriculture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

They shared the importance of guaranteeing peace, stability, security, safety and marine freedom in the East Sea and re-affirmed determination to establish an ASEAN community strong and united by 2015.

The same day, FM Pham Binh Minh paid a courtesy call to Singaporean PM Lee Hsien Loong.
