Vietnam to Maintain World’s Top 10 Seafood Exporter
The Prime Minister has signed the Decision No. 279/QD-TTg approving the seafood export development programme from now to 2015, with vision to 2020.
The objectives of the programme are to promote sustainable seafood development, enhance competitiveness, and maintain the world’s top 10 seafood exporter position.
Vietnam targets at annual seafood export growth of over 8 percent a year from now to 2015 to reach US$7.5 billion. The value is hoped to top US$10 - 10.5 billion by 2020, with annual growth of over 7 percent.
