Japan Awards Rising Sun Order to Former Deputy PM Pham Gia Khiem
On April 29, 2012, Japan conferred the “Grand Cordon of the Rising Sun” Order to Mr Pham Gia Khiem, Former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Vietnam.
Mr Khiem created a firm foundation for the development of a strategic partnership between Japan and Vietnam during his years as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister and made great contributions to promoting the strategic partnership.
Japan appreciated his contributions and decided to bestow the noble award on him.
An official awarding ceremony will be held in June in Hanoi.
