Cleaner Production & Waste Management Training Programme to Start in Sep

The Business Office for Sustainable Development (SDforB) of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Centre for Environment and Cleaner Production (CECP) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Dow Chemical International Limited (DCIL) signed a MOU to collaborate on providing a Cleaner Production and Waste Management (CP&WM) training programme in Vietnam. The programme will start in September.

 

The training programme will take place in 25 cities and provinces across Vietnam where training workshops have been identified as most beneficial. While raising the knowledge of cleaner production and waste management, these workshops will also provide the opportunity for trainers and participants to exchange practical knowledge and experience in applying and implementing cleaner production in manufacture industries.

 

The programme will be coordinated by SDforB who will be in charge of overall planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluation. CECP will be the key programme partner organisation and will be in charge of training materials and workshops including training specialists. CECP will also act as liaison with MOIT-affiliated departments in the provinces and cities where the training workshops will be organised. DCIL will be the sponsor of the training programme and provide support and guidance throughout.
