US Consul General Works with VCCI's HCM City Branch

 

The US's Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Seth D. Winnick, paid a working visit to the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)'s Ho Chi Minh City Branch on September 20, 2004 with the reception of Mr. Nguyen Huu Hai, the VCCI branch's director.

 

The Consul General showed his hope to have a closer cooperation between the two organisations to further boost the bilateral trade between the two countries and improve local trade and production activities.

 

The two organisations can cooperate in the fields of exchanging information and publications regarding to potentialities and policies of Vietnam and the US, co-organising seminars and training courses of related issues, and undertaking market researches to help enterprises of the countries have better mutual understanding and do business more effectively, according to Mr. Hai.

 

They have also reached an agreement to jointly organise a meeting between the US Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, VCCI Ho Chi Minh City Branch, AmCham, the city's Department of Planning and Investment, and other departments to discuss concrete measures to speed up exports and domestic production.
