Sopewaco: Business Ethics and Reputation above All

Sopewaco, set up in 2008 by large companies like the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam), specialises in production of centrifugal and commercial concrete piles, construction, trade, transportation and others in Dong Nai province. In spite of being a young business in the industry, Sopewaco has promoted its advantages of modern technologies and sold products of premium quality to customers.

 

To supply broad-diameter centrifugal pre-stressed concrete pipes for important projects of national stature, on June 28, 2009, Sopewaco held a groundbreaking ceremony to start construction on concrete structure factory in Ong Keo Industrial Park in Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province, which cost VND276 billion. All machinery and equipment are imported from developed countries like Germany and Italy. The plant comprises two production lines: one to produce 675,000 metres of piles with diameter of 300 - 700 million and a maximum length of 20 metres a year and another to turn out 216,000 metres of piles with a diameter of 800 - 1,200 mm and a maximum length of 34 metres.

 

The company marked a milestone in its history on March 26, 2010 when it started official operations of the first high-tech concrete production line and turned out the first centrifugal pre-stressed concrete piles. Soon after that, Sopewaco supplied all centrifugal pre-stressed concrete and commercial concrete for the construction of Nhon Trach 2 thermal power plant, Xoai Rap - Tien Giang steel pipe factory, and service centre for Halliburton Company in Vung Tau City. Recently, it successfully manufactured centrifugal concrete piles with a diameter of 1,000 mm and 1,200 mm.

 

To ensure stable production operations, Sopewaco attaches great importance to input material supplies. The company has established close relationships with suppliers in Dong Nai province and other localities in the Mekong Delta on the basis of mutual interest. To control product quality, Sopewaco invested in a modern laboratory and recruited leading specialists.

 

From its successful foundations, Sopewaco is expanding its markets to other localities rather than Dong Nai province like central provinces and Mekong Delta provinces. This is an important move to popularise Sopewaco brand name and assert the market position.
