Vietnam Opens Trade Office in Tuscany, Italy

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Vietnam - Italy diplomatic relations and to promote trade between the two countries, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM) in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in Italy, the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam and the Tuscany Economic Promotion Agency (Toscana Promozione) launched the Vietnam Economic - Trade Representative Office in Tuscany region, Italy.

 

The office will play an important role in exchanging information about economics, trade and investment between Vietnam and Tuscany and helping businesses seek investment opportunities.

 

Tuscany is one of the six key economic areas of Italy with an economic model similar to that of Vietnam. The region is well-known for leather, garments and textiles, machinery, health care, education, high-technology, navigation, wine and fashion. This is the home to Piaggio motorcycle producer and most top-branded fashion firms. Monte Paschi di Siena, the oldest bank in Europe, third largest lender in Italy and one of the 20 largest lenders in Europe, is headquartered here.
