City of London Lord Mayor Builds Further Links with Vietnam

The Lord Mayor of the City of London David Wootton is heading a strong business delegation to Vietnam from 22 – 26 September 2012.
He will meet Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to discuss how to further develop bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Vietnam and the UK as well as how the UK can help Vietnam to finance major infrastructure projects.
In a press release sent to the daily, Lord Mayor David Wootton is quoted as saying “I hope that business links forged on this visit will add to our countries’ ambitions of increasing two-way trade to US$4 billion by 2013 and increasing UK Foreign Direct”.
During his visit, he will also be working with Vietnam’s political and business leaders to identify Public Private Partnership (PPP) pilot projects.
