Vietnam has done its utmost to boost up the relations with Cambodia to a new height in terms of economy, trade, investment, education-training, culture and national defense for the two sides’ prosperity, said PM Nguyen Tan Dung.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung made the statement at his meeting with the visiting Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on September 24.

The multifaceted relationship between the two nations has been developed, bringing benefits to the two sides, he added.

The PM expected that King Norodom Sihamoni will support cooperative activities of the two countries in all fields, especially the process of the demarcation on the Vietnam-Cambodia borderline.

He also hoped that Cambodia will create favorable conditions for Vietnamese residents living in Cambodia.

King Norodom Sihamoni thanked for the assistance of Vietnam in Cambodia’s socio-economic development and asserted that Cambodia will always place importance on its relationship with Vietnam.

This is the fourth visit to Vietnam by King Norodom Sihamoni since his enthronement in 2004.

The trip, made on the occasion of the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year 2012 and the 45thanniversary of diplomatic establishment between the two countries, is aimed at furthering the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation.

During this Vietnam tour, King Norodom Sihamoni plans to meet top Vietnamese leaders to discuss issues of common concern.
