11th ASEAN+3 Ministerial Meeting on Environment to Open in Bangkok

Following the success of the 12th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on the Environment, the 11th ASEAN+3 Ministerial Meeting on the Environment was held in Bangkok, Thailand.
 
Ministers, deputy ministers and high-ranking officials from ASEAN countries, and three partner countries, China, Japan and South Korea, attended the meeting.
 
Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Bui Cach Tuyen led the Vietnamese delegation which comprised heads of the International Cooperation Department, the Vietnam Environment Administration ) (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), ASEAN Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Forest Protection Department (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development).
 
The 11th ASEAN +3 Ministerial Meeting on the Environment delved into cooperation between ASEAN member states and three partner countries and proposed future cooperation plans.
 
The meeting focused environmental cooperation framework between ASEAN countries and three partner countries, including environmentally sustainable ASEAN city model, the third high-level meeting on environmentally sustainable cities, the fifth ASEAN+3 Sustainable Production and Consumption Leadership Programme and ASEAN+3 Youth Environment Forum.
