LIXIL INAX Vietnam Funds “Heart for Kids” Programme in 4 Straight Years
LIXIL INAX Vietnam Co., Ltd recently made a commitment to State-run Vietnam Television (VTV) - the representative for “Vietnam Golden Heart Foundation” on the continued funding of VND1 billion for the “Heart for Kids” programme.
This agreement brought the company’s total donation to the programme to VND4.2 billion in four straight years.
The latest funding will be enough for 25 heart surgeries for children aged under 16 years of age carrying congenital heart disease whose families are too poor to afford the operations.
Surgeries are expected to be carried out in late 2012 and early 2013 in northern, central and southern regions. Each operation is estimated to cost VND35 - 40 million.
This is the cooperation programme among the Vietnam Television (VTV), the military-run telecom firm Viettel, and the East Meets West Foundation (EMW).
