P. Dussmann VN: Hospital Laundry Plant
On October 8, 2004, P. Dussmann Vietnam, (FRG), a wholly foreign owned company, organised the earth-breaking ceremony for a Hospital Laundry Plant in An Phu Commune, Thuan An district, Binh Duong province with a capacity of 20,000 kg/day on an area of 14,000 sq. metres. The initial investment capital is Euro5 million. Present at the ceremony were Dr. Ditmar Staffelt, Secretary of State and Vice Minister of Economy and Labour, Consul General, Cultural and Commercial Attaches, Mr Peter Karl Dussmann, owner of the company and representatives of Binh Duong province.
P. Dussmann VN belongs to Dussmann Group with 40 years of business experience in 25 countries. Mr Peter Karl Dussmann said that the plant is the product of cooperation with Dr. Truong Van Viet, Director of Cho Ray Hospital. The plant is the first of its kind in Vietnam, laundering, pressing and sterilising surgery clothes, as well as leasing surgery clothes to medical services. The project will be completed in April 2005 and start operating on September 2, 2005.
Speaking at the ceremony, FRG Deputy Minister of Economy and Labour congratulated the success of P. Dussmann VN and encouraged other German companies to further invest in Vietnam.
